About two years ago I had the idea to make my own tile chessboards. Last summer
(the summer of '01) I decided to actually do it. Presently I live about three blocks from a
wholesale tile supplier so I bought up some black and white 2.5 inch tiles and went to work.
While my results won't win me the noble prize I am pretty pleased with them. I'm even going to
attempt to sell them once I get my methods perfect.
Here are some photos of my boards, front and back, at different angles, and even with some
admirers (the cats). Please tell me what you think, good/bad, hypothetically how much would you
pay for these?
